Chrissy Teigen was in panic mode on Wednesday as one of her political heroes collided with her silly social media behaviour. 

The Twitter icon, 34, returned to the site after a month away following the stillbirth of her son Jack last month, after after initially sharing a powerful essay about her heartbreaking experience, she later got back to posting hilarious videos. 

After sharing clips lamenting the removal of a ‘pretty filter’, Chrissy then noticed Hilary Clinton had reposted her essay and insisted she had to ‘delete those stupid videos’, before a sharing a throwback video showing her crying at the politician.

Prior to Hilary’s support, the videos in question saw Chrissy complain about the absence of the the ‘pretty’ filter, which had gone missing during her hiatus.

Standing bare-faced in front of the camera, she said: ‘What happened while I’ve been gone to the pretty filter? The simple one. It wasn’t too much. You could make it warm. Where is it? I leave for a f**king month, and the pretty filter’s gone!?’

It was then that Hilary wrote: ‘Thank you, Chrissy Teigen, for your bravery and grace in starting a hard conversation to help other families heal alongside yours.’

Chrissy frantically deleted the ‘stupid’ clips after writing: ‘Oh my god Hillary Clinton just tweeted my essay now I have to delete the stupid videos I just posted oh my god please dont look at them Hillary Clinton’.

After doing the cull, she then wrote: ‘I’m so honored Hilary Clinton. You have dedicated your life to fighting for women’s and children’s health, so to have you share my piece about my experience means the absolute world to me. Wow. Wow.’ 

She then shared a video from the 2018 Glamour Woman Of The Year Awards in NYC, in which Hilary was on stage while Chrissy was sobbing.  

Before sharing her essay, Chrissy has remained quiet on the app this last month, though did post videos of herself making pancakes with her daughter Luna and roasting vegetables to her Instagram stories on Tuesday.

‘I’ve missed posting my cookbook journey,’ she wrote while showing off her oven-cooked veggies. ‘I and [sic] so incredibly proud — it will absolutely be my best ever.

‘I got to step away from the world and do something I love, but I truly missed being able to bring you along for the journey. I love and missed you guys.’

She added at the end: ‘I’m back!’

Since announcing the loss of her son 20 weeks into her pregnancy last month, Chrissy has periodically appeared on social media with brief updates, however her now-deleted posts marked a more upbeat shift in tone.
