The REAL reason James Boggia was kicked off The Bachelorette during a shock double elimination – following a dramatic dinner party

James Boggia was kicked off Wednesday night’s episode of The Bachelorette, after dramatically storming out of the dinner party.

And while the pro wakeboarder, 28, was visibly distraught following his shock exit, an insider has revealed the real reason Elly Miles didn’t give him a rose.

‘After Elly’s single date with him, where they got hammered and then made out in the pool, a lot of the guys actually went off her… They couldn’t believe Elly was falling for a guy like James,’ a source told The Wash.

‘It got to the point where one guy actually said to Elly, “If you’re going to smash a bottle of Fireball and then kiss James, you aren’t the girl for me.”‘

According to the source, the contestant’s comment ‘broke her heart and opened her eyes’, and she started to see James differently.

‘When it all started to kick off at the dinner party, she’d just had enough and wanted him gone,’ the insider claimed.

During Wednesday night’s episode of The Bachelorette James dramatically stormed out of a dinner party after getting jealous over Elly’s history with Joe Woodbury.

In tense scenes during a Q&A session with the Miles sisters, James’ emotions became uncontrollable as Joe explained his romantic past with Elly.

Joe was questioned if he and Elly’s connection was more serious than a ‘weekend away’, to which he offered a cagey response to the table.

‘It was that weekend. Yeah, it was that weekend…’ Joe, 25, said, choosing not to kiss-and-tell in front of the other suitors.

Elly at this stage could see James was becoming uncomfortable, which led Becky to call him out on his behaviour.

‘You alright, James?’ Becky asked in a confrontational way, to which James replied curtly: ‘Yeah, I’m fine.’

As the intensity of the moment kept rising, James turned to co-star Frazer Neale and said he was going to leave the table.

Elly was extremely unimpressed with his behaviour, calling it a ‘red flag’ for her.

Later in the episode, James and Sam Vescio were sent home during a double elimination.

After failing to receive a rose, James was visibly distraught as the other suitors rallied around him and tried to console him.

Hugging Elly goodbye one last time, he quietly told her: ‘Guess I’m not what you’re looking for, hey…’

The Bachelorette continues Thursday at 7:30pm on Channel 10
