Jackson Warne takes a swipe at his dad Shane – as he says the cricketer ‘isn’t fit enough’ to complete the challenges on Channel Seven’s SAS Australia

SAS Australia’s Jackson Warne took a subtle swipe at his cricketer legend dad Shane on Wednesday.

The 21-year-old joked his sports star dad wouldn’t be able to complete the gruelling challenges on Seven’s military-style show because he isn’t ‘fit enough’.

‘I don’t think he’d be able to jump out of the chopper, I don’t think he would’ve done initiation,’ Jackson said on Nova 96.9’s Fitzy & Wippa.

‘But the cardio and the lifting, he might have got into shape? But even his cricketing days, he was fit, but I don’t think he was SAS fit,’ he said.

Jackson went on to say his mother Simone Callahan would of been able to complete the ‘cold water challenges’.

‘She’s crazy with that stuff. I was doing it with her leading up to the show just to get used to it and adapt,’ he explained.

In 1997, Shane also stormed off when a reporter made a comment about his weight after his wax figure was inducted into Madame Tousaad’s Wax Museum.

The reporter asked the sports star: ‘This was done obviously a few months ago so which figure would you prefer?’

‘That’s why I wasn’t answering any questions. That’s it, you’ve ruined it,’ Shane said before storming off.

Meanwhile, Shane recently vowed to get his weight down to 80kg, and revealed in July last year that he’d already lost 14 kilos but wasn’t done yet.
