Farmer Wants a Wife’s Emily Rath undergoes hair makeover

Former Farmer Wants a Wife contestant Emily Rath has undergone a glamorous makeover since her time on the dating show.

This week, the 24-year-old took to Instagram to show off her wavy blonde locks after dyeing her hair.

Showing off the new look in a pair of selfies, the former brunette wrote: ‘Time for change.’

Farmer Sam Reitano was left devastated on the show after his self-confessed ‘favourite’ Emily admitted that she couldn’t see their relationship turning ‘romantic’.

After earlier telling Riley he only saw her as a friend, the tables were turned on Sam, 28, when Emily told him she didn’t have feelings for him. 

Sitting down together for a private conversation, Emily proceeded to tell Sam she didn’t see their relationship ‘developing more in a romantic sense’.

Clearly devastated, Sam sat staring silently at the ground, before admitting he was ‘quite heartbroken’.

‘I thought she was somebody I might marry one day. I just didn’t see it coming. I guess I just read her signals wrong,’ he confessed.

Talking to Emily, he added: ‘Since the moment I met you, I thought, “Oh, man. I can see my future with her already.” Since day one, you’ve been my favourite.’ 

‘I respect him 100 per cent as a person, but I just don’t seem to have that spark towards him, and you need that,’ she later said.

Since the show wrapped, Emily has kept in touch with a handful of the contestants via private group messaging.

She said she keeps in touch with many of the girls from the program, and credits the group as being ‘an incredible support throughout the show’. 

‘It’s nice to still be able to keep in contact with them and use them as a support and talk about bits and pieces of the show,’ Emily said.
