‘I’m not a paid actress!’ Bachelor star Bella Varelis furiously denies claims the show was ‘scripted’ – but admits she’s open to more TV roles in future
She burst into tears and dramatically walked off set after being dumped by The Bachelor Locky Gilbert earlier this year.
And on Tuesday, Bella Varelis was forced to deny being an ‘actress’ on the show during a tell-all YouTube Q&A session with fans.
In the video, the 25-year-old smiled as she shouted ‘I’m not a paid actress!’ to the camera after being queried whether or not the show was scripted.

‘That’s why when I get messages like “you’re the worst actress I’ve ever seen.” Yes! Because I’m not acting,’ she said.
But the Instagram influencer added that she hasn’t ruled out starring in TV roles in future.
‘I don’t know. Never say never,’ she said. ‘I actually said I would never do The Bachelor and… well… here I am!’ she said.
And like Bachelor alumni Laura Byrne and Brittany Hockley, Bella hasn’t ruled out starring on her own podcast if the right opportunity came along.

‘Potentially! If something comes up and you guys want to hear more from me aside from YouTube and Instagram,’ she added.
‘I’m going to focus on YouTube and Instagram at the moment, but… never say never, I’d be open to it.’
Bella was last seen on our screens when she was dumped in front of the nation by Locky, despite believing that he was going to choose her.
When asked if she’d consider herself becoming Australia’s next Bachelorette, she responded: ‘It’s such a hard role to take on. Knowing that I was hurt at the end of The Bachelor… I would’t want to do that to someone.

‘It is the nature of the beast, and ultimately it is a sure way of finding someone who you could be in a relationship with for the rest of your life.
‘I know it works, because I genuinely fell in love. It’s like having your own little fairytale!’
After dumping Bella, Locky went on to find love with his winner Irena Srbinovska. The pair have now moved to Perth to start their new life together.
