He’s playing the father of tennis superstars Serena and Venus Williams in a biopic about the pro athletes’ early years.

And on Monday, Will Smith was back on location in Los Angeles filming scenes as Richard Williams who was driven to turn his daughters into champions.

Smith, 52, was dressed in a black tracksuit and black trainers and sported a full beard.

After getting his hair and makeup done, the actor’s hair and beard was colored to appear grayer than his natural look.

The action for the day appeared to be taking place at tennis courts.

Richard Williams, who’s now 78, served as the primary tennis coach for Venus and Serena, starting to give them lessons on public courts before they were five years old.

Serena won the US Open in 1999 while Venus won the 2000 Wimbledon title, launching the sisters into the top echelons of the sport.

Production on King Richard was halted in March after just three weeks of filming due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

But principal photography started up again earlier this month.

Due to the delay, however, Liev Schreiber, who was due to play famous tennis coach Paul Cohen in the movie, had to withdraw due to scheduling conflicts with another project that’s shooting in Venice, Italy.

Schreiber has been replaced with Tony Goldwyn whose big screen credits include Divergent, The Last Samurai, The Pelican Brief and Ghost.

On the small screen, he starred for seven seasons in Scandal, opposite Kerry Washington.
