Salma Hayek thanks first responders as she shares photo of ‘saved’ Napa Valley vineyard surrounded by wildfire

She’s married to French billionaire François-Henri Pinault who has several prestigious wine-producing estates in his business portfolio.

And on Tuesday, actress Salma Hayek shared photos of the Eisele Vineyard in Napa Valley which was impacted by the most recent California wildfires.

Posing for a selfie in a wide-brimmed straw hat with the green vines stretched out behind her, Hayek, 54, wrote on Instagram: ‘Although most of the fires are now under control, I can’t help but feel an immense sense of gratitude for all the first responders who came to the rescue of so many people, animals and properties.’

Hayek shared pictures of the flames on the hillside above the smoke-covered vineyard as the Glass Fire, which broke out east of St. Helena on September 27, raged through the town of Calistoga.

She also posted a photo of one of the Strike Team Engines arriving on the scene.

‘For being our heroes during this fire season. Muchas Gracias!’ she added. 

The Glass Fire was officially contained on October 20 after burning through both sides of the Upper Napa Valley, destroying 308 homes and 343 commercial buildings in the Valley and 334 homes in neighboring Sonoma County, according to Cal Fire.

Pinault, 58, purchased the Eisele Vineyard, as part of the Araujo Estate, in 2012 for an undisclosed sum.

It’s signature Cabernet Sauvigon retails currently between $200 and $360 a bottle.

Pinault also owns the famous Chateau Latour in Bordeaux, Domaine d’Eugenie in Vosne-Romanée and Chateau Grillet in the northern Rhône, according to TheDrinksBusiness.com.

He and Hayek married in February 2009, 18 months after the birth of their daughter Valentina.
