The couple have been going strong ever since they met on ITV2 dating series Love Island last summer.

Earlier this month, blonde beauty Molly-Mae showcased her new look after she was left with ‘botched lips’ following years of procedures.

Posting a video to her YouTube channel documenting her journey, the reality star explained she had been plumping her pout with injections since she was 17 and getting it dissolved was the ‘best decision she’s made in a long time’.

Elsewhere during the footage, Tommy was on hand to give his support although he jokingly compared her mouth to a ‘wrinkly cartoon’.

Molly-Mae said: ‘I remember my lips before filler, there was nothing there. I literally had no lips!

‘Do you notice how unnatural, see how much filler, they feel really hard. It’s just time they went!

The TV star revealed she had around a total of 5ml of filler in her lips and the last time she had been topped up was a year ago.

Her decision came after she confessed that she regretted having the cosmetic procedure.

‘I have been thinking recently that I want to get them dissolved. I’m not sure anymore, I’m just not feeling it anymore’, Molly-Mae said in a Q&A in July.

She elaborated: ‘I’ve had all my other filler dissolved, so I’m thinking I might just go ahead and get my lips dissolved.

‘I don’t think you guys understand, if I was to get my lips dissolved my lips would literally be like this…I’m not joking, I have no lips without filler, so…I need to have a little think about that one.’

The Hertfordshire native then playfully acted out thinning her lips to demonstrate to fans what they would look like without the fillers.

When she first notified her followers about her health condition, the businesswoman wrote: ‘So about three weeks ago now I was advised that a mole I had on my leg needed removing. I had the procedure done within a few days.

‘Last week I received my results back and it’s safe to say they were not at all what I was expecting.

‘I’ve been trying to process the information I received whilst being super busy with work and it’s not been easy.

‘I’m still not able to give my full diagnosis until my further surgery has taken place and I’ve received those results but for now I’m just trying to stay positive.’

MELANOMA IS THE MOST DANGEROUS FORM OF SKIN CANCER

Melanoma is the most dangerous form of skin cancer. It happens after the DNA in skin cells is damaged (typically due to harmful UV rays) and then not repaired so it triggers mutations that can form malignant tumors.

Around 15,900 new cases occur every year in the UK, with 2,285 Britons dying from the disease in 2016, according to Cancer Research UK statistics.

Causes

  • Sun exposure: UV and UVB rays from the sun and tanning beds are harmful to the skin
  • Moles: The more moles you have, the greater the risk for getting melanoma
  • Skin type: Fairer skin has a higher risk for getting melanoma
  • Hair color: Red heads are more at risk than others
  • Personal history: If you’ve had melanoma once, then you are more likely to get it again
  • Family history: If previous relatives have been diagnosed, then that increases your risk

Treatment

This can be done by removing the entire section of the tumor or by the surgeon removing the skin layer by layer. When a surgeon removes it layer by layer, this helps them figure out exactly where the cancer stops so they don’t have to remove more skin than is necessary.

The patient can decide to use a skin graft if the surgery has left behind discoloration or an indent.

  • Immunotherapy, radiation treatment or chemotherapy:

This is needed if the cancer reaches stage III or IV. That means that the cancerous cells have spread to the lymph nodes or other organs in the body.

Prevention

  • Use sunscreen and do not burn
  • Avoid tanning outside and in beds
  • Apply sunscreen 30 minutes before going outside
  • Keep newborns out of the sun
  • Examine your skin every month
  • See your physician every year for a skin exam
