Shaughna Phillips has revealed it’ll take her up to three months to fully recover after having liposuction on her calves to combat a medical condition.
The Love Island star, 26, took part in a Q&A with his Instagram followers on Sunday to admit she’s ‘still pretty swollen’ a month after undergoing surgery.
Sharing a candid image of her tissue, the former democratic Services Officer – who was diagnosed with lipoedema, an abnormal build-up of fat in the legs, earlier this year – said she had two litres of fat removed during the procedure.

When a social media user asked to see the results of Shaughna’s liposuction, the TV star shared: ‘OMG the pressure of the big reveal.
‘Swelling takes around 2-3 months to subside so I’m still pretty swollen. I wish it was an overnight thing but hopefully by 2021 I’ll be strutting my stuff and showing them off.’
On why she opted to go under the knife, the Celebs Go Dating star added: ‘I had just over 2L of fat removed from my calves by the lovely @drdenniswolf. It was to treat my lipoedema/prevent it from progressing.’ (sic)

Earlier this month, the blonde said she blocked the word ‘legs’ from appearing on her social media before entering Love Island due to her fear of being trolled for the size of her calves.
The media personality told BBC’s Newbeat: ‘Before I even went into Love Island you can block words that you don’t want to see and the first word I blocked was ‘legs’.
‘I would always feel like my thighs and my calves there wasn’t much difference in size. I never really had a defined ankle. For years I’ve had constant numbness in my legs.
‘I saw something the other day that said ”another girl takes the easy way out” and I replied to this person saying I was in no way lazy for getting my calves done.
‘I think it was Lipoedema UK who put a before and after picture up. When I weighed 14 stone, I’d lost 4 stone and then posted a picture of before and after and I looked no different.
‘So if that’s lazy – losing four stone, going to the gym and eating healthy then you’re the silly one. I definitely want to use my platform as much as I can to raise awareness and help women and girls.’
Around one in 10 women in the UK have the condition, which is an abnormal build-up of fat cells that can’t be broken down by diet or exercise.
Shaughna paid for private liposuction to shrink her legs as the procedure is not available on the NHS.
Last week, the influencer revealed her size 12 skinny jeans are now too big after undergoing the operation.
Sharing a Whats’app chat between her friends, she wrote: ‘Just tried on a pair of size 12 jeans. They’re too big… they’re baggy around the ankle.’
