Firass Dirani and Shannan Ponton come to blows on SAS Australia

‘Shut the f**k up’: Firass Dirani pushes Shannan Ponton to breaking point on SAS Australia – before the actor is forced to tip a water bottle over his head in the freezing cold after disobeying directing staff

SAS Australia has only aired for one week so far, but already House Husbands star Firass Dirani has been portrayed as the troublemaker.

After being summoned by the directing staff for a surprise inspection on Monday’s episode, the actor pushed personal trainer Shannan Ponton to his breaking point.

Having whinged that he was called out into the freezing cold at 10.29pm, Shannon told Firass, 36, to ‘seriously shut the f**k up!’

Pointing out that they’re all in the same boat, Shannan, 46, added: ‘Everyone’s the same mate’.

Chief Instructor Ant Middleton addressed the recruits, asking them to get their water bottles out in front of them.

The former British soldier instructed Firass to undo his water bottle, asking him if it was full.

After Firass said in a bratty manner that it was only ’97 per cent full’, Ant made him pour the entire bottle over his head in the freezing cold.

Ant later explained in a piece to camera the importance of always having a full water bottle while on tour.

‘During my training, if it wasn’t full to the very brim, then you were wasting a mouthful. And when you’re in operations, you don’t know how long that mission is going to last. So every mouthful counts.’

Meanwhile in Monday’s issue of TV WEEK, Shannan claimed Firass’ behaviour on the show had ‘ruined’ the entire experience for him and his fellow recruits.

‘On multiple occasions I asked Firass to hand in his badge, as his presence and repetitive behaviour were ruining the entire experience for the rest of us,’ he said.

‘I struggled with Firass’ behaviour from day one,’ he continued, adding that the star’s back-chat was a ‘lame attempt at juvenile humour’.

‘The entire cast was filthy, but many wanted to avoid confrontation and failed to speak up directly,’ he said.

Speaking to Daily Mail Australia later on Monday, Firass unleashed a blistering response to Shannan.

‘Who the f**k is he to tell me how to act? I wasn’t there to be compliant or hide. Or be a sheep. I went there to be me, and I didn’t fit into the construct of who he thought I needed to be,’ he raged.

SAS Australia airs on Mondays and Tuesdays at 7.30pm on Channel Seven
