Flaring on the jumpsuit’s sleeve and trouser legs added a hint of 70s glam to the TV presenter’s sparkling get up, as she excitedly ushered in the new series of Strictly.

Tess wore her signature blonde tresses loose and straight, while her beaming expression suggested that viewers are once again due for a memorable series.

Claudia, 48, meanwhile looked ravishing in a chic black dress encrusted all over with white pearls.

The low-cut outfit showed off the TV presenter’s toned upper body, while she wore her raven tresses in their signature long straight fringe.

Earlier in the evening, Tess took to her story to illustrate the extent of Covid restrictions at the Elstree studios, as she showed herself decked out in a visor as she headed into the complex.

Tess also shared a full-body snap of herself looking dazzling in her evening’s outfit, as she thanked her stylists and make-up artist in the caption for their work.

Twelve couples are taking to the floor in the first live show on Saturday, and they will be scored by judges Craig Revel-Horwood, Motsi Mabuse and Shirley Ballas.

Fourth judge Bruno Tonioli has been unable to travel back to the UK from his home in LA for the filming due to the Covid-19 crisis and his work commitments on Dancing With The Stars.

Already the BBC favourite has seen its highest ratings in three years, after finally making it to screens after months of uncertainly sparked by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Viewing figures averaged at 8.6 million and it is the show’s highest ratings since 2017.

This year’s couples have formed their own separate ‘bubbles’ to allow them to train and perform, and are being regularly tested to avoid a virus outbreak during filming.

The show is continuing to have a live audience, but members of the public will be seated in their separate households or ‘bubbles’ and will wear a mask throughout filming.
