Newly single Jennifer Metcalfe looks chic as she steps out

She has been focusing on work since confirming the end of her long-term romance in August. 

And Jennifer Metcalfe looked chic as she stepped out in a black frill wrap skirt with heeled over-the-knee boots on Saturday. 

The Hollyoaks actress, 37, put on a radiant display in the ensemble which offered a glimpse of her toned pins as she headed to a dinner reservation at The Dakota Hotel.

The beauty teamed her look with a navy knit for the occasion which she tucked into her mini skirt to showcase her enviable figure.  

Jennifer wore her long dark tresses in loose waves with her signature fringe to frame her pretty features. 

The actress carried her evening essentials in an olive snakeskin structured bag and opted for a rose lip with a flick of black eyeliner for the outing. 

Jennifer’s outing comes seven weeks after she revealed her relationship with former Geordie Shore star Greg Lake, with whom she raises son Daye, three, quietly ended during lockdown.  

She wrote on Instagram: ‘Greg and I decided to part ways amicably a couple months ago. We remain friends and we both will continue to happily co parent Daye and would appreciate privacy during these times.’

Jennifer has been regularly sharing pictures of herself with Greg and Daye on her Instagram, with the last family picture appearing on July 12.

It seems that the couple had already split at this point, but they remain close. 

In 2018, Jennifer said she thought Greg had proposed to her following their long romance, but she wasn’t having any of it anyway.

She told ITV’s Loose Women at the time: ‘I thought Greg had proposed to me on my birthday. He got a ring out, I’d just got back from work.

‘I was too tired for it. I said “can we please do this another time, I’m tired”. It was just a ring ‘for us’ though, not an engagement one.’

But the year before, Jennifer told Fabulous magazine that marriage was very much in their plans.

She said: ‘We’ll probably do it like a party and be like: “Let’s get married next month and we’ll text our friends”. There will be no ring or anything.’
