Bethenny Frankel says she had a ‘great’ two-year relationship with Paul Bernon before split

Bethenny Frankel says she had a ‘great’ two-year relationship with ex Paul Bernon: ‘Some things just don’t continue’

Skinnygirl CEO Bethenny Frankel said she’s ‘good’ and ‘happy’ following the recent end of her ‘great’ two-year relationship with Rubicon Real Estate managing partner, Paul Bernon.

‘I’m good, I’m good. You know, not everything works out! So many people have tried to define my life – our lives – with “When are you getting engaged? When are you having a baby? When are you getting married?”‘ the newly single 49-year-old says on this Friday’s episode of The Ellen DeGeneres Show.

‘And I’ve just realized more in life, with people being more open and honest about their lives and what they want, that everything doesn’t have to sort of end in a blue box and a bow. We’ve had a great, great relationship and I’m really happy. Not everything has to end badly, some things just don’t continue and it’s not negative it’s just life.’

Bethenny’s romance with the 42-year-old divorced father-of-two was likely not helped by the fact that she’s still technically married to her second husband Jason Hoppy, whom she legally separated from way back in December 2012.

Frankel officially filed for divorce from the 50-year-old pharmaceutical sales executive in January 2013 after nearly three years of wedded bliss and a bitter legal battle ensued.

The Manhattan socialite and Jason reached a financial settlement in July 2016 and they reached a custody agreement over their 10-year-old daughter Bryn in June 2014.

The 62-year-old controversial host attempted to find a new ‘lover’ for Bethenny with a game of ‘Who’d You Rather?’ during which she selected eight-time Oscar nominee Bradley Cooper.

Ellen then confronted Frankel on whether she’d ever consider coming back on The Real Housewives of New York City after quitting the reality show in August 2019.

‘I left a big financial paycheck there, but I knew that something amazing was going to happen and that the journey was just going to take me to a great place,’ the Bravo-lebrity – who’s still friends with Dorinda Medley and Sonja Morgan – explained.

‘So I believe in the path and this is where I am, and I’ve been so focused on the things that I’m doing – whether its relief work or my daughter or the podcast – that I’m excited about what’s happening now.’
