Zac Efron was reportedly drawn to his girlfriend, Vanessa Valladares, because her laid-back vibe ‘cuts through all his Hollywood bulls**t’.

And the 25-year-old waitress demonstrated her down-to-earth personality on Thursday by doing something many LA types would never do: she recycled one of her favourite outfits.

Accompanied by her actor boyfriend, Vanessa stepped out in Currumbin, Queensland, wearing a loose-fitting lemon shirtdress and white sneakers.

She channelled cool-girl style in the minimalist ensemble, and wore her cropped brunette hair in its usual wavy style.

Vanessa had worn the same leggy shirtdress while celebrating Zac’s 33rd birthday in Byron Bay last week, but paired it with a belted black dress and strappy heels.

The part-time model became the envy of women across the world in July when Zac picked her from the crowd while she was waiting tables at a Byron Bay café.

Their relationship developed quickly, and the Baywatch star – who is said to be ‘riding out’ the coronavirus pandemic in Australia – even cancelled a return flight to LA in August and applied for a visa extension in order to stay in the country.

Rumours are swirling the couple could even get married Down Under, after Sydney radio host Kyle Sandilands, who has been friends with Zac for years, revealed on Monday that the actor was ‘in love with this girl’.

‘He absolutely loves Australia, he’s in love with this girl – Vanessa,’ said Kyle, after attending Zac’s birthday party several days earlier.

‘They’re lovely, beautiful couple, they do everything together, just very sweet and lovely.’

He also said of Vanessa: ‘She’s lovely, couldn’t get a lovelier, more sweet girl. She put the whole thing [the party] together, she’s a sweetheart.’

While his holiday romance is heating up, Zac will have to return to the U.S. eventually because he’s scheduled to film the Disney+ remake of Three Men and a Baby.
