Mission: Impossible 7: Rebecca Ferguson channels Matrix vibes as she sprints across bridge in Venice

She is filming the seventh instalment in the Mission: Impossible franchise.

Yet Rebecca Ferguson looked like a character from The Matrix or even Tomb Raider on Wednesday night as she shot scenes in Venice. 

The Swedish actress, 37, was spotted dashing across a bridge over the canal, in a sleek leather ensemble, recording a sequence with longstanding star Tom Cruise.

Tom was also shooting on top of the bridge, seen limbering up in a crisp suit with a black face mask.

Rebecca wore a slick leather black cropped trench coat, dark slacks and knee-high black boots.

She looked fresh-faced with porcelain make-up and a hint of blusher.

Her brunette mane was tied back into a tight plaited ponytail for the action sequence. 

Another brunette actor was seen running down the same stone steps in an open-collar, shirt sleeves, a black vest, matching slacks and leather ankle boots.

The scene suggested Rebecca – who is playing Ethan Hunt’s [played by Cruise] ally Ilsa Faust, a former MI6 agent – was back in the game, helping on another intense mission.

Tom caused a stir when he was spotted by locals filming by the canal.

Fans whipped out their phones to take snaps of him on location as he prepared to film his sequence.
