Heartbreak for Kyly Clarke as Channel Seven AXES House Rules – as she moves on with James Courtney

Kyle Clarke was praised as a breath of fresh air when she joined House Rules as a judge this year.

But even the former WAG’s star power hasn’t helped the home renovation show, which has been dropped by Channel Seven.

The show was noticeably absent from the network’s content line-up at the annual Upfronts on Wednesday alongside Plate Of Origin and Pooch Perfect.

Kyly, 39, was commended for being a ‘natural’ on-screen, however the series failed to be a ratings success.

Just 679,000 metro viewers tuned in for part one, representing a drop of more than 100,000 viewers from last year’s premiere with veteran host Johanna Griggs.

She’s believed to have first met James when she was just 11, and they recently got back in contact via social media.

‘They just clicked when they reconnected, and everything is going well. It is like a fairytale because they were together all those years ago, so it has come full circle,’ the source added.

Kyly’s relationship with James comes eight months after she announced her split from her husband-of-seven-years, Michael Clarke.

Meanwhile, Plate of Origin and Pooch Perfect have also been axed from the network due to poor ratings.
