They’ve been accused of copying designs in the past, and on Wednesday’s episode of The Block, it was revealed Luke and Jasmin have the exact same secret door as best friends and rivals Jimmy and Tam.
Hosts Scott Cam and Shelley Craft noticed the similarities while inspecting the renovations on each house.
‘On the modern side of the house, they’ve continued the ported timber feature wall from the kitchen and added a secret door into the under stairs storage,’ explained Scott, 57, while talking about Luke and Jasmin’s house.

Speaking to Scott and Shelley, 44, about their feature wall with the hidden door, Luke confessed he and Jasmin were ‘shooting for a win’ with the design.
While Luke and Jasmin’s secret door was to conceal storage space, Jimmy and Tam, 31, used the exact same timber design to hide their laundry.
‘Our house, the way it’s designed, the front door, when you open it up, you look straight at the laundry door,’ explained Jimmy, 33.

‘So we were always going to try and hide that, because you don’t want to open a door and look straight at another door.
‘Right at the start, we came up with the idea of doing a ported timber wall with the hidden laundry door in it to make a nice feature when you open the door.’
After visiting Luke and Jasmin’s house, Scott and Shelley then stopped by Jimmy and Tammy’s, and couldn’t help but notice the glaring similarities.

‘Secret door?’ asked Scott, prompting a stony-faced Jimmy to quip, ‘What door?’
Added Scott: ‘That’s exactly the right answer! It’s not so secret. We just came from another joint that had the same secret door.’
But Jimmy and Tam didn’t seem impressed about the fact they had the exact same secret door as Luke and Jasmin, 36.

‘Yep, we’ve heard,’ they said in unison.
It’s not the first time Luke, 35, and Jasmin have been accused of copying their designs on The Block.

‘I remember saying on the day, the bunk and everything, I remember saying, “I may have seen that before,”‘ Shaynna, 57, explained.

And earlier this month, they were accused of copying Daniel and Jade’s curved island bench design, but it was later revealed they’d actually turned to Pinterest for inspiration.
‘We don’t draw inspiration from anywhere, we draw it from ourself… Good luck to ’em,’ said Jade, 34, taking an obvious swipe at Luke and Jasmin.
Still, there was no denying the similarities between the two teams’ benches, with Luke branding his ‘my mini Christian Cole’, a reference to the furniture designer Daniel, 35, and Jade had used to design theirs.
