Welcome aboard: HBO Max has dropped the first trailer for Kaley Cuoco’s upcoming comedy thriller The Flight Attendant a little over a week after the show wrapped filming
The Flight Attendant stars Kaley Cuoco, Zosia Mamet, Michiel Huisman, Merle Dandridge, Nolan Gerard Funk, Michelle Gomez, T.R. Knight, Audrey Grace Marsha, and Rosie Perez.
‘A flight attendant (Cuoco) wakes up in the wrong hotel, in the wrong bed, with a dead man – and no idea what happened,’ reads the logline for the series.
‘I met Alex on the plane,’ Kaley’s character Cassie says in the trailer which is set to the score of a stripped down version of Britney Spears’ Toxic.
Cassie and Alex’s relationship progresses quickly as the pair are seen getting intimate in the aircraft bathroom in the very next frame while Cuoco narrates the chain of events that happened after.

All is not well, however, as the flight attendant wakes up the next day in a Bangkok hotel room with blood on her hand next to Alex’s corpse.
‘When I woke up in the morning he was so alive!’ she exclaims, revealing that her narration is actually part of a police interview.
‘Do you think they know you’re lying?’ asks Alex [Huisman], who is now a figment of Cassie’s imagination.
‘The whole night is just flickers. I can’t remember anything about it,’ she says.

Her ‘best friend’, played by Zosia Mamet, asks why Cassie cleaned up the scene of the crime if she wasn’t the killer. ‘I don’t know,’ she shrugs.

The project – which has taken over a year to film – first came to fruition after Kaley read the book by Chris Bohjalian, three years ago.
After reading only part of the book, a gut instinct told her to pursue the rights to the story.
‘Something told me to jump on this, so once we started getting into it, I read it really quick and thank goodness I loved it,’ Kaley has said.
The future of the series was thrown into question however when the production was forced to stop down in March due to the virus – but resumed filming in late August.
