The Avengers stars Chris Evans, Scarlett Johansson, Zoe Saldana among the superheroes to reassemble for Joe Biden virtual fundraiser
Some of the superheroes that make up The Avengers are reuniting for a virtual fundraiser in support of Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden.
Chris Evans, Scarlett Johansson, Don Cheadle, Zoe Saldana, Paul Rudd and Mark Ruffalo will participate in the October 20 event dubbed, Voters Assemble.
They will be joined by Biden’s running mate, Senator Kamala Harris, and Marvel Cinematic Universe directors The Russo Brothers for a Q-and-A and trivia game.
The Russo Brothers tandem of Anthony and Joseph Russo directed four films in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, including Captain America: The Winter Soldier (2014), Captain America: Civil War (2016), Avengers: Infinity War (2018) and Avengers: Endgame.
The virtual fundraiser will take place on October 20 at 6:45 p.m. ET.
To view the livestream event, supporters can donate any amount to the Joe Biden Victory Fund.

Ahead of the upcoming November 3 elections, many of The Avengers stars have been very vocal on social media and in PSAs in encouraging fans to get out and vote.
In one Instagram post, Ruffalo sported a mask that said ‘VOTE’ with the caption: ‘We must elect champions who will fight for the Green New Deal and push Congress to pass climate action that matches the scale of the problem with the urgency our country’s future demands.’
Cheadle has directed much of his awareness towards climate change and voting rights, while pushing for his home state of Missouri to get out and vote in the upcoming election.

In July, Evans launched a civic engagement app and website called A Starting Point, in hopes of educating people on some of the important issues and help voters make educated choices in the upcoming elections.
Most recently on Sunday, Saldana directed her attention to women and their power at the polls.
‘Women are the most powerful force in America. We are the majority of people and voters in this country and we will determine the outcome of this election,’ she wrote.
She went on to promote a partnership between ‘@argent x @supermajority’ in a fundraising effort ‘to celebrate our ambition and our awesome civic power loudly and proudly’.
