Naya Rivera’s ex Ryan Dorsey shares snap of their son Josey’s significantly shorter buzz cut

Naya Rivera’s ex-husband Ryan Dorsey shared an adorable snap of their five-year-old son, Josey, debuting a significantly shorter hair on Sunday.

The sweet photo of his little boy’s new buzz cut marked the 37-year-old’s second time posting on social media since Rivera’s tragic death by drowning in July.

‘Wanted a cut like his boy Hunter. Oceans 12 meets C-Mac,’ Dorsey captioned a side-by-side of his mini-me, who was rocking a low-maintenance look.

In the first picture, little Josey wore a blue Batman face mask and a Carolina Panthers long sleeve, which he paired with a cool pair of black sunglasses.

The next image featured the late Glee star’s son, in the same outfit, with a bright smile across his face, while posing for his father’s 157,000 Instagram followers.

Previously, Dorsey had only returned to social media to pay tribute to Rivera, who he wed in 2014 and divorced four years later.

Rivera was confirmed dead three months ago after going missing during a trip to Lake Piru with Josey on July 8. She was 33.

In an emotional post shared to his Instagram after her passing, Dorsey expressed his disbelief over his loss and vowed to keep Rivera’s memory alive for their young son.

‘This is so unfair…there’s not enough words to express the hole left in everyone’s hearts. I can’t believe this is life now. I don’t know if I’ll ever believe it,’ began the Ray Donovan star.

He continued: ‘You were just here… We were just in the back swimming with Josey the day before. Life just isn’t fair. I don’t know what to say…I’m thankful for our times and our journey that brought us together and gave us the sweetest and kindest smart little boy we could ever hope for.’

Dorsey went on to reflect on all the times that Rivera would ‘get annoyed’ at him for filming her on the app Snapchat.

But now that she has passed on, Dorsey could not be more thankful for all of the moments he was able to preserve for their son.

‘I remember sometimes you used to get annoyed at me: ‘Ryan can you stop snap chatting!’ Haha. I’m glad I didn’t listen to you because I have hundreds and probably thousands of snaps and videos that Josey will have forever and know his momma loved him more than life, and how much fun we had together as he was growing up,’ explained Dorsey.

‘Life is all about good times and bad times but with Josey it makes the bad a little less so because a part of you will always be with us. He’ll never forget where he came from. We miss you. We will always love you. Love you Meep,’ he concluded.

After penning his open letter, Ryan went on to thank followers, fans, friends and family who have actively reached out him during this unimaginable time.

‘To everyone that reached out and I haven’t had a chance to or just didn’t get back to you…thank you all for the overwhelming love and support you’ve sent our way,’ he wrote.

Rivera’s sister Nickayla has reportedly moved in with Dorsey at a three-bedroom rented house to help raise her nephew in the wake of her sibling’s premature death.

In July, Rivera’s son Josey – who had joined her for the lake trip – was found alone on a pontoon boat on the lake.

After a five-day search, Rivera’s body was recovered from the water and an autopsy concluded that her death was by drowning and that it had been an accident.

According to local law enforcement, the actress had propelled her son onto the boat after they went for a swim, but failed to get out of the water herself.
