Claire Foy nails autumnal fashion in a chic plaid coat as she grabs a coffee with her mother

She is gearing up to start production on Louis Wain, a period drama with Benedict Cumberbath.

So Claire Foy made the most of her rare downtime as she joined her mother Caroline for coffee in Hampstead on Sunday. 

The Crown actress, 36, was dressed for the change in season and had picked up some stunning autumn leaves on her stroll.  

Claire wrapped up in a navy plaid coat that she teamed with distressed mom jeans and brown boots. 

Injecting a splash of colour, Claire donned a pink beanie hat over her glossy chestnut locks.

Taking extra precautions amid the pandemic, Caroline kept a face mask on for the stroll and donned a teal coat with jeans. 

Last month, Claire admitted to being concerned about the prospect of her daughter Ivy Rose, five, growing up ‘in a world where everyone is wearing a face mask’.

She said: ‘She’s back at school. The most important thing for kids at this point is to have contact with other children. 

‘I find myself thinking, “Is my child going to grow up in a world where everyone is wearing a face mask?”‘

Claire added that she has tried to remain ‘calm’ about the prospect as she doesn’t want her daughter to grow up thinking the world is ‘scary’.

The actress also told how she is concerned about what the theatre industry will look like in a post-lockdown world.

Claire said there is something ‘special’ about theatre and people learn about themselves and society by watching plays.
