Camila Mendes keeps cozy in an oversized hoodie as she enjoys solo stroll through Vancouver

She is back to work on her hit CW series Riverdale after filming was postponed twice due to COVID-19 related issues.

And Camila Mendes was spotted enjoying a solo stroll around Vancouver, Canada during a break from filming on Saturday afternoon.

The 26-year-old actress looked cozy in an oversized black hoodie that had ‘The Block Is Hot’ written out in bold, white lettering on the back of it.

She styled the pullover with a pair of straight leg jeans that featured a bit of denim patchwork on one leg.

To complete her casual ensemble, Camila threw on a pair of all white Reebok sneakers.

Mendes showcased a bit of her famously flawless complexion, while the rest of her face remained concealed behind a tie-dyed cloth mask.

Her wavy raven hair was tired back into a high ponytail and she walked with her hands tucked into the front pocket of her sweatshirt.

Despite being back on the set of Riverdale, Mendes has strayed from posting on social media in order to keep any upcoming plot points a secret from the show’s eager fanbase.

She did upload a selfie from inside her trailer on October 8 before the series’ on set makeup artists and hair stylists got to work transforming her into her character Veronica Lodge.

‘And live from Vancouver it’s my puffy morning face!!!!’ joked the actress in her post’s caption as she let the intense lights from her vanity illuminate her face.

Camila looked noticeably makeup-free and her eyebrows looked as if they had just been groomed.

In a more personal post, Mendes paid homage to her two best gal pals Rachel Matthews and Francesca Reale.

‘really missing these two,’ captioned the starlet, who included a photo of her and her girl gang huddling around for a group photo.

Camila, fellow leads K.J. Apa, Lili Reinhart, Cole Sprouse, and the rest of the Riverdale cast first returned to set on September 15 after a months-long pandemic shutdown.

In order to protect the cast and crew, there were new industry safety protocols put in place.

Despite their best efforts, it wasn’t enough to keep the show running, as the Vancouver lab the show used to do its COVID-19 testing ran into a backlog, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Amid a surge in cases in Vancouver, the lab ramped up its testing and began focusing on public testing, leaving the private testing to Riverdale and other CW shows in a bottle neck.

The laboratory in question said it was ‘hiring more technicians to boost its capacity’ so that it could get results within 48 hours, per Hollywood standards.

‘We are making additional investments to expand out testing capacity and anticipate returning to our standard turnaround times by the end of the week,’ said LifeLabs in a statement.

The series, along with Nancy Drew, Charmed, Supergirl and DC Legends Of Tomorrow, all shut down at the end of September until testing could get up to speed.

Crucially, the shutdown wasn’t because any cast or crew members had tested positive.

Riverdale first premiered on the CW in 2017 and was met with instant success.

The series wrapped its fourth season in May and are currently working on season five in Vancouver.
