Stomach-churning images show how a Tesco customer was sold chicken with ‘partially digested feed’ still inside its cavity.

Lynnette Parker from Malton, York was left horrified after opening up the £4.75 bird and discovering its grim contents.

She shared revolting photos on Tuesday (13 October) showing the chicken covered in what appears to be grains and feed.

Photos show the chicken’s opening covered in slimy, yellow bits of corn along with grey mushy pieces it had allegedly consumed.

The grains appear to be lodged inside the bird, which is apparently ‘From trusted farms.’

Ironically the chicken’s packaging also boasts that the bird was: ‘Fed on a whole grain diet for a succulent texture.’

A furious Lynnette took to the retailer’s Facebook page to complain, saying: ‘I know they’re fed on wholegrain.

‘I just didn’t fancy seeing the wholegrain and the no-longer-wholegrain but partially digested all over the top of my chicken, in the bin it goes!’

Tesco’s customer service team responded to the post saying they were ‘sincerely sorry’ and branded the poultry ‘awful’.

Social media users were equally unimpressed.

Pam Farrow urged Lynnette to complain further, saying: ‘Send them the photos and a note it doesn’t make you want to eat it.’

And Vickie Kenyon joked: ‘Where’s the carrots?’

However, it is not the first time Tesco has received complaints over their chicken.

In March this year, customers were shocked to cut into their meat to discover it was bright green inside.

Kelly Smith 33 from Yately, Hampshire purchased a chicken from Tesco in March and posted to social media: ‘Everyone be careful eating chicken from Tesco!

‘I’ve just cooked this and when I cut into it, I found this.. It is bright green and looks like a chemical in the meat!’

At the time, Tesco reassured customers the meat was safe to eat and said the colouring was the result of the birds flapping their wings too vigorously.
