A police hunt is under way for the driver of a £250,000 luxury Rolls-Royce who fled the scene after being involved in an expensive collision with a £160,000 Lamborghini.

Footage captured by a surveillance camera shows the shocking moment the Rolls-Royce Ghost smashed into the rear of a red Lamborghini Urus in Walsal, West Midlands, on Tuesday.

Images of the scene, later shared by West Midlands Police on social media, showed the mangled front grill of the Rolls-Royce and the large dent the vehicle had been left with down the side.

Police are searching for the driver of a £250,000 luxury Rolls-Royce who fled the scene after being involved in a collision with a £160,000 Lamborghini in Walsall, West Midlands

The force, who shared details of the crash on Twitter, said the driver of the Rolls-Royce had fled the scene.

They wrote: ‘Well…this is an expensive crash. I wonder if it was the cost or another reason why the Rolls driver left the scene?

‘Either way, we have his photo and will ask him very soon. Driver was not driving for the conditions and obviously can’t handle a car like this.’

As the clip begins, an unfortunate learner driver car makes its way down the road, passing the parked car.

The red Lamborghini then approaches, slowing to allow the driver to pass.

However, the Rolls-Royce is not far behind and fails to stop as the Lamborghini begins to slow.

The Rolls-Royce then smashes into the back of the supercar ahead, shunting it into the parked car.

As the vehicles skid to a halt, smoke can be seen billowing out from their bonnets.

The drivers exit and the learner car driver begins to snap photos of the smoking wreck.
