Pregnant Bindi Irwin shares a sweet tribute to her mother Terri

She’s expecting her first child with husband Chandler Powell.  

But on Friday, despite preparing for motherhood herself, Bindi Irwin shared a sweet tribute to her mother Terri Irwin, 56. 

The 22-year-old posted a photo of herself cuddling Terri on Instagram and said how much she loves her.   

‘Mama, thank you for always making me smile. I love you with all my heart,’ Bindi wrote online. 

In the image, the pair cuddle each other and ditch their khaki Australia Zoo uniforms in favour of blue jeans and shirts. 

On Sunday, Bindi showed off a slight hint of baby bump as she posed for a photograph taken by her mother. 

‘My beautiful mum took this photo yesterday,’ Bindi wrote online. 

‘Baby girl is doing great. Every time we get an ultrasound she’s incredibly energetic and always moving around. She’s now about the same size as a mountain pygmy-possum. Too cute!’

Bindi and husband Chandler, 23, are expecting their first child together next year.

The couple tied the knot on March 25, in a makeshift ceremony at Australia Zoo, just before the COVID-19 lockdown. 

Bindi announced her pregnancy in August, uploading a photo to Instagram of herself and Chandler holding a tiny version of the Australia Zoo uniform.

‘It’s an honour to share this special moment in our lives with you. Though I’m still in my first trimester, we really want you to be part of our journey from the beginning of this new life chapter,’ she told her followers. 

‘We couldn’t wait to share the news as this beautiful little being has become the most important part of our lives. Your support means the world to us.

‘Please let me know your best advice and send good vibes and prayers to our little sweetheart. Love and light.’
