Lily Allen pampers herself with a face mask before revealing her fresh-faced complexion

She recently shared her disdain at the capital’s move into the government’s second tier amid the coronavirus pandemic as she launched into a foul-mouthed song.

And Lily Allen was distinctly more chill on Thursday night as she pampered herself with a face mask as she relaxed in bed.

Taking to Instagram, the singer, 35, joked her mask was the ‘exact opposite of a Covid mask’, before showing off her fresh-faced complexion.

Lily looked to be very much enjoying her relaxation time as she sat in bed wearing a black tank top, while her raven tresses were swept back with a grey headband.

As she touched and patted down the mask, Lily said: ‘This is the exact opposite of a Covid mask. Only has wholes for the receptacles for catching Covid. Boo!’

The Not Fair hitmaker then went on to take off the mask and revealed her fresh-faced, radiant complexion.

Revealing her busy day the next morning, she wrote: ‘Another early start tomorrow. Night night.’

Lily’s pampering session comes hours after she took to Instagram to lament London moving into Two Tier of the new tougher lockdown restrictions.

Hours after the news was announced, the songstress, who has previously been slammed for her political stance, sang: ‘F**k you, Tier Two’ into the camera.

In 2009, Lily included the politically-charged song F**k You on her It’s Not Me, It’s You album, of which she previously said: ‘”It was originally written about this f**king a**ehole who used to be the President of the USA. His name is George W. Bush.’

Lily was sitting down and holding her camera in selfie mode as she took aim at the new restrictions, which were announced on Thursday morning.

Matt Hancock declared that millions of Londoners face tougher lockdown from Friday as the government ramps up efforts to tackle the coronavirus surge.

The capital will face tighter Tier Two controls from midnight on Friday after a deal was done with mayor Sadiq Khan – although he is still demanding more money from the government and calling for a national ‘circuit breaker’.

Essex, Elmbridge, Barrow in Furness, York, North East Derbyshire, Chesterfield and Erewash will also be placed into the same category.

It means as of Saturday, nine million Londoners will be banned from mixing with other households indoors, including in bars and other venues. Socialising outdoors – including in pub and private gardens – will still be allowed within the Rule of Six.

Offices and public transport can remain open, although the government’s general advice to work from home where possible stands.

Lily has been on cloud nine ever since she tied the knot to actor David, 45, in Las Vegas last month.

The couple, who were first romantically linked in 2019, surprised fans by revealing they had exchanged vows in a wedding officiated by an Elvis Presley impersonator.

They were joined by Lily’s children Ethel, eight, and Marnie, seven, from her first marriage to Sam Cooper as they tucked into their fast food outside.
