Quality Streets fans have been left feeling disappointed after Nestle was forced to limit production of their Purple One and Chocolate Caramel Brownie chocolates because of coronavirus.
Customers took to social media to complain after multiple tins of sweets were severely lacking in their favourite flavours.
A spokeswoman apologised to upset chocolate lovers and blamed a problem at Nestle’s factory for the shortfall, reported The Sun.
She said: ‘There is no change to the overall weight of our tubs, tins and cartons.’

The brownie replaced the Toffee Deluxe last year but one father, Matthew Tindle, said his box of the chocolates didn’t have any in it.
He wrote: ‘I’ve just emptied a box on the table for the kids to choose what they’d like. Where are the Chocolate Caramel Brownies?! My eight-year-old son is devastated. Explain yourselves.’
Mental health nurse Summer Wight said her colleagues at Yorkshire Ambulance Service HQ were left without any brownies at all.

Another customer found just four Purple Ones but eight Orange Cremes in his 650g tub of sweets.
Julia Macdonald said: ‘Please, please don’t disappoint your chocoholic fans like this.’

They wrote: ‘In order to keep Quality Street production going during the Covid-19 lockdown period, we made some temporary changes to the way we operated, such as running fewer lines for a time.
‘As a result, some packs did not have all 12 varieties of Quality Street sweets in their mix. There is no change to the overall weight of our tubs, tins and cartons and any missing varieties have been replaced by another of our well-loved Quality Street selection.
‘We apologise for any disappointment caused but hope consumers understand why it was necessary to make these changes during such unprecedented conditions. We hope you’ll get some in your next pack.’
