Amanda Holden, Jimmy Carr and Alison Hammond announced as the celebrity panel for BBC One’s new game show I Can See Your Voice

TV stars Amanda Holden, Jimmy Carr, and Alison Hammond will star on the celebrity panel for BBC One’s new music game show, I Can See Your Voice, as revealed on Wednesday.

Comedian Paddy McGuinness will take centre stage to present the musical competition in 2021 while the BGT talent judge, 49, the 8 Out of 10 Cats host, 48, and This Morning presenter, 45, will be on hand to help out the series’ contestants.

I Can See Your Voice follows two players going head to head to win a cash prize by guessing if the mystery singers standing before them can or can’t sing, without hearing them perform a single note.

The singing participants will journey through a quest of lip sync challenges and will provide hidden clues to the celebrity panel trio to help the competing players decipher the authentic singer.

Each week, the players will whittle down the vocalists to a final singing participant, who will then perform a duet with a guest pop star to reveal if they are a singing sensation or a musical charlatan.

If the competing contestants guess correctly, they will take home the cash prize, but if they guess incorrectly, the singing imposter will take home the money.

Jimmy thinks the new game show will be a welcome addition to small screens as he said: ‘I think a silly, crazy, fun hour of telly is just what we all need. And it doesn’t come any more silly, crazy or fun than this.’

Meanwhile, Amanda thinks her judging experience earned on Britain’s Got Talent will be useful. She added: ‘I’ve seen first-hand over my many years as a judge, how acts can shock you with an incredible voice.

‘With my experience on stage, television and radio I think I have one of the best pair of eyes in the business for spotting talent so the masqureaders will really have to up their game to fool me!’

Alison believes her accurate assessment of others will allow her to separate the wheat from the chaff, as she declared: ‘I Can See Your Voice is going to be great fun and I am thrilled to be taking part.
