PC Geoffrey Green, who confirmed that there were passengers in the car with Wan-Bissaka, said in a statement: ‘The vehicle was travelling away from me at a speed I estimated to be in excess of (70mph).’

The officer revealed that Wan-Bissaka made no comment following his caution, with the 22-year-old pleading guilty for the charge in writing.

The defender’s case was dealt with last month under the single justice procedure.

One month after Wan-Bissaka’s incident, the Metropolitan Police pleaded with the public to stop speeding following a surge in offences during the coronavirus lockdown.

Wan-Bissaka is currently training with Manchester United after missing out on a spot in Gareth Southgate’s England squad for the October triple-header.

The right-back is behind Trent Alexander-Arnold, Kyle Walker and Kieran Trippier in the England pecking order while Reece James was included in the Three Lions squad instead of the Manchester United man following a couple of drop-outs.

Wan-Bissaka has made three appearances for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side this season, with his most recent match being the 6-1 thrashing by Tottenham Hotspur at Old Trafford.
