‘It ignited a fire inside me!’ The Block stars Sarah and George reveal they’re ready to start a family after designing a little girl’s bedroom on the show
They’ve had a difficult time on The Block – losing every one of the show’s challenges thus far.
But one positive thing has come out of the experience for George and Sarah Bragias as they revealed on Tuesday that the show has inspired them to start a family.
The pair are set to design the upstairs children’s bedroom on the show this week and Sarah, 27, told TV Week it set off a ‘little “child fire” inside me’, adding that the duo are more than ready to have a baby of their own – and soon.

‘I was going to buy another queen-size bed similar to the bedrooms I had done, but then I spotted a little teepee, treehouse-style bed and thought, “That is the cutest thing I’ve ever seen in my life!”,’ she gushed.
‘I’m not going to lie: I was a little bit clucky when I saw that room at the end.
‘I think it kind of ignited a little “child fire” inside me. I thought, “I’d love to recreate this for my children.”‘

She added that the pair believed 2020 would be the year they start a family – but after realising they would appear on The Block, they soon put their plans on hold.

The pair have yet to reveal their bedroom – but Sarah shared a picture of the bed in question on Instagram, which helped inspire the rest of the room.
Monday night’s emotional episode saw George break down in tears as the pair struggled to get what they wanted with such a small budget.

The 33-year-old electrician struggled to hold back tears as he confessed that losing every single one of the show’s challenges so far had taken a toll.
‘When are we ever going to be good enough for you? That’s how we feel,’ mused a fed up Sarah.
‘It just gets a bit disheartening, every week. Everyone’s won. At the end of the day, we’re the only ones who haven’t won anything, and I’m just starting to get over it,’ added George.
George admitted that while he and Sarah also came on The Block to ‘have fun’, they dreaded Sunday nights, when the show’s judges assessed their rooms.
