Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie’s Chateau Miraval is releasing a new champagne

Before their divorce, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie purchased the champagne house Fleur de Miravall, and they’re about to unveil a new champagne.

Pitt, 56, and Jolie, 45, first leased the Chateau Miraval property in the south of France in 2008 before purchasing it outright and getting married there in 2014.

Their company Fleur de Miraval‘s new rose champagne unveiled its packaging on Monday, with the first bottles going on sale October 15, with Andreas Larsson, one of the best sommelier’s in the world, giving it a rave review.

Larsson reviewed the rose champagne from Fleur de Miraval in a non blind tasting on October 7, and he revealed on Instagram that he was sufficiently impressed.

‘I must say that I was quite excited to taste the Champagne that everybody talked about, but no one tasted yet,’ he began.

‘A great reunion with my old friend, Rodolphe Peters whose champagne making skills are nothing less than exceptional. A ground-breaking style that blends Chardonnay from Côte de Blancs of which one part is the actual vintage, one part reserve wines andone part mature wines from bottle,’ he added.

‘The rosé part being Pinot Noir from Vertus made as a rosé de saignée blended just before bottling to keep the notion of youthful red fruity freshness,’ he added.

‘It shows a very gentle bright rosé colour and a vivid mousse with fine bubbles. The nose starts out elegantly – layered and nuanced with chalky notes, fresh hazelnut, marzipan, fresh butter, pink citrus and lemongrass,’ the sommelier raved.

He also praised the ‘aromas of crushed raspberry, cherry and pain d’epice’ adding the ‘palate is nicely built.’

Pitt himself raved about the wine in August, stating, ‘The result is spectacular and I’m very proud of it.’

‘For me, Champagne conjures up feelings of celebration, quality, prestige, and luxury. But rosé Champagne is still relatively unknown,’ he added.
