Vanessa Bryant sent congratulations to her husband Kobe’s confidante Rob Pelinka after his Los Angeles Lakers won the NBA title in defeating the Miami Heat 106-90 in game six of their best-of-seven series.

‘Go Lakers! Congratulations Uncle P!’ she wrote to the team’s general manager Pelinka, who paired superstars LeBron James and Anthony Davis for the vaunted franchise’s first championship in a decade and 17th overall.

Vanessa quoted her late husband in writing, ‘Congratulations @Lakers! Kobe was right RP, “Stay the course – block out the noise”- @kobebryant.

The latest: Vanessa Bryant, 38, sent congratulations to her husband Kobe’s confidante Rob Pelinka, 50, after his Los Angeles Lakers won the NBA title in defeating the Miami Heat 106-90 in game six of their best-of-seven series

The 38-year-old wrote ‘wish Kobe and Gigi were here to see this’ with a heart emoji on the emotional day. 

The post came less than nine months after their tragic deaths with seven others in a helicopter crash in Calabasas, California on January 26.

Also killed in the crash were pilot Ara Zobayan, 50, Payton Chester, 13, Sarah Chester, 46, Alyssa Altobelli, 14, Keri Altobelli, 46, John Altobelli, 56, and Christina Mauser, 38. 

Vanessa subsequently put up another post commemorating National FatherDaughter Day with a 2009 shot of Kobe walking off the court holding Gigi, adding the popular hashtag #GirlDad.

Vanessa, who’s also mother to daughters Natalia, 17, Bianka, three, and Capri, one, noted it was National FatherDaughter Day in sharing a shot of her late husband and daughter Gianna, who were 41 and 14 respectively at the time of the tragedy.

During the series again the Heat at Orlando, Florida’s Walt Disney World Resort, the Lakers donned Kobe’s Black Mamba ensembles for Game 5.

The team dedicated its season to the memory of Bryant, who spent two decades on the roster before his retirement in 2016.
