‘I feel more alive!’ Schapelle Corby reveals how intense training for Seven’s military-style reality show SAS Australia saw her lose NINE KILOS
Schapelle Corby has revealed ‘the bonus’ that came out of training for seven weeks, to appear on Channel Seven’s new military-style reality show SAS Australia.
The 43-year-old told Woman’s Day on Monday how she lost nine kilograms from an intense diet and exercise regimen, and in the process, has never felt ‘more alive’.
Schapelle, who set out to become the strongest version of herself, ate salads and boiled eggs, ditched alcohol and focused on high-intensity interval training.

‘I also jogged daily – I did heaps of high-intensity interval cardio and resistance training, and had two personal trainers each week,’ she revealed to Woman’s Day.
Schapelle also told the publication that her reason for signing on to SAS Australia was to prove to herself, her mental and physical capabilities.
‘I wanted to be the best I could be, with full intention to go to the very end. The weight loss was just a bonus – the best thing was seeing my body become so much stronger. I feel more alive,’ she said.

The convicted drug smuggler, who served nine years in Bali’s Kerobokan Prison, also told Perth Now that she is not entering reality TV to win over the public.
‘I don’t care what people think of me. I hope people enjoy it, but this is for me. I’m doing this so I know I’m in control of my mind,’ she said in August.
Schapelle, who was released from prison in 2014, added that the significance of the show is that she is known as just a number.

‘We go into SAS as a number, not a name, which is significant for me because I won’t be Schapelle Corby, I will just be a human being,’ she explained.
The show will see stars attempt to pass the selection process to join the Australian Army’s elite Special Air Service.
Other celebrities to have signed on include PR queen Roxy Jacenko, Nick ‘The Honey Badger’ Cummins, Candice Warner, Merrick Watts and Shane Warne’s son Jackson.
