Freddie Flintoff will attempt to pull off a gravity-defying stunt on Sunday’s episode of the show, when he takes a Maserati insurance write-off on the Wall of Death.
The 42-year-old former cricketer will try his hand at driving along the specially built wall at London‘s Alexendra Palace as his stunned co-stars Paddy McGuinness, 47, and Chris Harris, 45, watch the high octane action from above.
Ahead of Freddie buckling up for the wild ride, Chris tells Paddy: ‘I think he has the worst vehicle for this, by a mile. I’m worried about what it’s gonna do on the top banking at sustained speed.’

Agreeing with his sentiment, Paddy adds: ‘I mean, I’ve got everything crossed that nothing goes wrong with him, but it’s just not a good look.’
Donning a protective helmet, Freddie is soon seen starting his laps on the wall, describing it as a ‘completely different experience’.
As his laps continue and he hits a speed of 49mph, he says: ‘I can feel the weight of the car. It just wants to come down the wall. It’s completely different to the buggy.’

This week’s Top Gear sees Paddy, Freddie and Chris convinced they’ve found a way of bagging performance cars on the cheap with each buying a sporty insurance write-off for under £6000.
They first enjoy a trio of challenges at the Top Gear Test Track – including the inaugural game of Car Park Musical Chairs where they meet Britain’s most reckless drivers, the Stig’s Teenage Cousins.
The presenters are then ordered to make their cars road legal, and report to Alexandra Palace, where the Top Gear producers have constructed a monstrous Wall of Death.

Last week’s premiere episode of the popular BBC show saw presenters Paddy, Chris Harris and Freddie clamber over high-end cars, pull their trousers down and sing karaoke while taking part in motoring challenges and reviewing vehicles for viewers.
Things kicked off with the trio travelling to Paddy’s hometown of Bolton, where they were told they had to spend 24 hours in three company cars without stepping a foot outside.
During a rest stop on their tour of Bolton, Freddie took out the SheWee – a female urinating device – he had been given and proceeded to use it while sitting in the car before revealing it had leaked.

Later in the episode, the presenters delighted in pranking each other as they clambered between cars for a driving challenge.
Their day ended with the trio singing Sweet Caroline in a karaoke session with passersby in the forecourt of a local petrol station.
The episode, which was filmed partly before lockdown and partly in recent months, also saw Harris travel to Italy to test the blistering Ferrari SF90 supercar.
Top Gear will air on BBC One and BBC iPlayer from 8pm on Sunday.
