The mother-of-five had revealed she was in the very early stages of adopting a Nigerian orphan last year, but recently claimed she wouldn’t be permitted to take on the process due to her large family.

The My Crazy Life star told OK! magazine: ‘Definitely. I’d love to adopt, but because I’ve already got five children they probably wouldn’t allow it.

The number of babies born to women using donor sperm, but their own eggs, has leapt almost two-thirds in five years.

Latest UK figures show 1,515 babies were born in this way in 2017, up from 934 in 2012.

Women in Britain are limited to what they can find out about their sperm donor, although information on height, weight, eye and hair colour are available, along with their age, ethnicity, medical history, existing children and marital status.
