The Crown’s Emma Corrin exudes style in a black satin shirt as she attends a VIP art event in London

She’s set to portray Princess Diana when season four of The Crown is released on Netflix on Sunday November 15.

And Emma Corrin was sure to exuded style as she attended a VIP preview of Go On Then: Tomo Campbell at The Cob Gallery in London on Thursday.

The actress, 24, cut a fashionable figure in a black satin shirt which boasted a polka-dot pattern and statement sleeves.

Emma paired her shirt with a midi-length pleated skirt which highlighted her svelte frame.

She kept her accessories to a minimum for the event, donning a selection of stylish necklaces and a dark green belt.

The brunette beauty wore her short locks down and added a light touch of makeup, including a pink lipstick, to accentuate her pretty features. 

Also seen at the VIP art gallery event was Pixie Geldof and George Barnett as well as model Alexa Chung.

Alexa opted for a casual look with denim jeans and a brown knitted jumper which she paired with a striking tailored coat.

While Pixie also wrapped up for the chilly climes in a burnt orange corduroy jacket and grey roll-neck top. 

The guests were attending a preview of Go On Then: Tomo Campbell at The Cob Gallery. The event marks the artist’s second solo exhibition at the gallery.

The collection is said to characterise Campbell’s interest in ambiguity, multiplicity and the balance between casual and considered, pleasure and intellection.

Emma’s outing comes after fans of The Crown were treated to a first look at the actress in Princess Diana’s wedding dress for the upcoming fourth series.

Actress Emma was the spitting image of the Princess of Wales in a newly released image posted to the show’s official Twitter account on Saturday. 

Alongside the picture, the caption read: ‘A first glimpse of Princess Diana’s wedding dress. Emmy award-winning costume designer Amy Roberts wanted to capture the same spirit and style of David & Elizabeth Emanuel’s original design, without creating a replica for Emma Corrin.’

The star was dressed as Lady Diana Spencer in her version of the large ruffled Emmanuel wedding dress from the 1981 nuptials, giving fans a full front-view of the look of the gown.  

The engagement and early marriage of Charles and Diana will be one of the main focuses of the award-winning drama’s fourth run, along with Charles’ feelings for Camilla Parker Bowles – played by Emerald Fennell. 

Fans went wild over the newly released image on social media, with many commenting that they had to do a double take looking at the shot as the likeness was so striking.

One wrote: ‘She really looks like Diana, I had to do a double take!’, while another excitedly said: ‘I’m screaming and one step closer to collapse’ at the sight of the dress.

Another astounded Twitter user said: ‘YESSS they’re killing it’, while another simply posted ‘omg I just collapsed’.  

At the wedding – which was held at St Paul’s Cathedral – Diana wore an antique lace and ivory silk taffeta gown with a with a 25-foot (7.62 m) long train. The dress was valued at valued at £151,000.   

The Crown Series Four will be released on Netflix on Sunday, November 15, and will see dark times for the royals as they face yet more political and social upheaval. 

In an interview with The Times on Saturday, Emma said the public expectation around her role has been ‘overwhelming since the beginning’, before adding that wants to do Diana ‘proud’.
