Maya Jama admits she ‘snotted’ all over a man’s pasta on a recent date… as she looks for love following Stormzy split

Maya Jama recently ‘snotted’ over a man’s pasta during a date.

The radio presenter, 26, split from rapper Stormzy last year, after a high-profile, lengthy romance.

But she’s evidently back on the dating scene, taking part in campaign to match potential dates based on what they like eating.

Dishing the dirt on a previous dating experience Maya explained: ‘I haven’t had a horrible date, but I’ve had a situation where I’ve laughed and a bit of snot [has flown] onto the pasta – snotty pasta!

‘And you can’t really do anything because the snot is there and you’re kinda like… oops!’

Speaking about what she wants from a date, Maya said: ‘I want good conversation flowing and minimum awkward moments. I want to be so entertained by you that I don’t really end up eating all my food because [I’m laughing so much].’ 

Maya’s blind date was called Dan, and seemed to connect straight away, sitting down and having a laugh right away.

 Dan asked her if she gets the chance to date very often, which Maya answered: ‘No I don’t really date, ever.

Most of the time I’m too paranoid to meet up with somebody I don’t know, so I’ll get my friends to do a massive CRB check on them and find out their mums last name and stuff.’

Of her dating turn-offs, Maya explained: ‘Rudeness and if we can’t have a laugh… or I’m doing all the talking!

‘I like someone to make me laugh and I like someone who doesn’t get put off by my disgusting chat.’

Maya admitted to being ‘boisterous’ so if her dates are not put off by that then that’s great.

Of Dan, she later recapped: ‘The conversation was flowing, he was polite and nice.’

Commissioned by Peperami Chicken Bites, the experiment follows a recent survey, where thousands of singletons unveiled that they would only consider a future with someone if they shared the same taste in cuisine and are considered ‘food compatible’.
