Chris Pine gets political as he hits the gym wearing a tank with late Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg’s image on it

Chris Pine showed his allegiance to late Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsberg while leaving his morning workout at a private gym in LA on Thursday.

The Wonder Woman actor, 40, doesn’t often chime in about politics, but definitely hinted at his political leanings with his exercise outfit.

Paying tribute to the Notorious RBG – who passed away at 87 in September – Chris rocked a tank top with her image on it.

The rest of his sporty look consisted of compression leggings under a pair of baggy shorts. Chris wasn’t wearing a face mask, but did carry one in his hand while making his way to his car.

The actor’s support of liberal Justice RBG wasn’t surprising. Chris previously called himself ‘left-leaning liberal’ during a 2012 conversation with Jimmy Kimmel.

He was, however, pointed in his criticism for President Barack Obama in a 2014 interview with The Hollywood Reporter, telling the publication he was against his strengthening of the Patriot Act as well as his use of drones.

Chris supported former Senator Hilary Clinton in the 2016 Presidential election.

He and Star Trek collaborators J.J. Abrams, John Cho, Simon Pegg, Zachary Quinto, Zoe Saldana, Karl Urban, George Takei, Justin Lin, Bryan Fuller, and Adam Nimoy, banded together to endorsed a movement called Trek Against Trump.

While Pine – who does not use social media – has yet to publicly endorse a 2020 candidate, he will be appearing along with Wet Hot American Summer film and TV spin-off star to raise money for the Biden Victory Fund later this month, according to The A.V. Club

Chris will reprise his role as Steve Trevor opposite Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman/Diana Prince. Pedro Pascal and Kristen Wiig play the film’s villains, Maxwell Lord and Cheetah.

While the pandemic has put the movie theater industry in panic mode, director Patty Jenkins said she has no plans for skipping a theatrical release and going straight-to-streaming.

Replying to a tweet about the film’s release, Jenkins wrote: ‘Direct to streaming is not even being discussed. We are still 100% behind the theatrical experience for #WW84 and supporting our beloved theater business.’
