Big Brother All-Stars: Cody Calafiore keeps Tyler Crispen and Christmas Abbott on chopping block

Cody Calafiore won veto power and kept Tyler Crispen and Christmas Abbott on the block on Wednesday’s episode of Big Brother: All-Stars.

The 29-year-old Head of Household had nominated his two castmates for eviction earlier this week, and saw their departure as clearing his way to the show’s $500,000 prize.

‘There are only three options for a replacement nominee at this point, and I have a final two with all of them,’ Cody explained. ‘So for me, it is so crucial that my nominations stay the same.’

He leaned heavily toward eliminating Christmas, 35, who had a ‘Wise Guys’ alliance with Memphis Garrett, 37, and Enzo Palumbo, 42, and could come after him.

‘I’ll do whatever you want, obviously,’ offered Nicole Franzel, 28, who despised both of the nominated contestants after they tried to get her evicted last week.

Christmas knew that most people wanted her out, and schemed to stay over Tyler, 23.

‘Tyler and I have had a final two for a long time,’ she conceded, ‘but we swung, we missed, and at this point it’s every person for themselves.’

Christmas went to talk to Cody and tell him that she wasn’t angry at him for putting her on the block, but as she did, she started tearing up.

She instantly decided to leverage that emotion, hoping that Cody would take pity on her.

Instead, he was annoyed, telling the cameras, ‘Here come the waterworks.’

‘I feel horrible that Christmas feels horrible,’ he added, ‘but her crying changes nothing. You went for a big move, and it landed you on the block, and so you did this to yourself.’

Christmas felt like the only person in the house she could trust was Memphis, but privately he observed that they weren’t allies, even though he planned to ‘send Tyler packing this week.’

Memphis and Tyler bonded in a chat about their fathers, with Tyler noting that his late dad had loved BB, and he owed it to him to do whatever he could to win the show.

Tyler also made nice with Enzo, even though the man had basically put him on the block by refusing to join him and Christmas in voting Nicole out.

Enzo prided himself on his stealthy ‘Meow Meow’ gameplay and ability to garner trust.

‘If it gets me further in this game, I will lie to you right to your face,’ he said. ‘I don’t care.’

Tyler privately acknowledged that Enzo had ‘kinda hung me out to dry,’ but felt that the man was his only option for support, adding, ‘I’m going balls-to-the-wall toward Enzo.’

He told Enzo about The Committee, the alliance of six people that had run the house for much of the season, to which he, Cody, Nicole, Memphis, and Christmas had belonged.

He then lied outrageously, saying that during the last eviction, Cody wanted to get rid of Enzo.

‘That’s why I’m on the block,’ Tyler lied. ‘I didn’t shoot that shot at you when he wanted me to.’

Enzo knew it was a total falsehood, but gamely pretended he’d never heard of The Committee, though Cody had told him about it weeks before.

To the cameras he said, ‘Tyler’s doing too much right now, and it comes off like a used-car salesman. I see that desperation in his face, and I’m just not buying it, man.’

Everyone gathered in the backyard for the week’s veto competition, which required the houseguests to put photos of their former castmates in chronological order.

Cody finished the fastest, which meant he won veto power for the week, and could decide whether or not to remove someone from the block.

‘I have three HoHs, this is now my third veto, and I feel like I’m building that resumé,’ he crowed. ‘I’m getting closer and closer to that $500,000.’

Enzo marveled at his pal’s skill, telling Christmas, ‘Damn, Cody’s unreal, yo. He’s a beast!’

He let Cody know how much anxiety there was in the house, revealing that Tyler exposed The Committee to him and lied about Cody’s plan.

‘I wasn’t targeting Tyler before, but now he’s starting to give me a pretty good reason to,’ Cody confessed.

Tyler lobbied hard for Cody’s support, telling him that if he was voted out, Christmas and Memphis would put Cody and Nicole on the block.

‘But if I stay,’ he promised, ”I’m not gonna f*** with you ever, ’cause you’re my f***ing guy.”

Privately, Cody recognized that it was very difficult to tell who his real allies were, admitting that he didn’t trust Tyler, Christmas or Memphis.

‘What I cannot do is base my decisions off how these things make me feel emotionally,’ he noted. ‘I have to be strategic, because I’m so close to the end. If I make the wrong move and it costs me in the finals, I don’t know if I’m gonna be able to live that down.’

At the veto meeting, Cody decided not to take either of the two contestants off the block.

‘My noms are locked and there are great reasons to send Tyler or Christmas home, so we’re just going to have to see how the week plays out,’ he said. ‘But either way, I’m sending one of these people to the jury, and that puts me one step closer to $500,000.’

Tyler tried to stay strong.

‘I have convinced some people in my Big Brother career to do some crazy stuff, and keeping me in this house right now might be the craziest of all,’ he recognized. ‘So folks, let’s get crazy! Let’s keep Tyler in the house!’
