Liszewski broke her silence over his death in a heartbreaking social media post Wednesday, one day after her husband died.

‘My husband, my love, my Peep,’ she wrote alongside a photo of the couple’s feet as they sat on a beach.

‘My heart and soul have been shattered into a million pieces. I never knew it was possible to cry so many tears or feel such incredible sadness.

‘Our journey together has not always been an easy one but in the end and always we have a connection and love that will always be.’

She continued writing that his death was ‘the hardest thing’ and asking him to watch over her and their beloved pet Pomeranian Kody.

‘Saying goodbye is the hardest thing I have ever had to do so instead I say so long, I will see you again soon in a place with no pain or sorrow,’ she wrote.

‘Please watch over Kody and I. We love you and miss you so very much. Love, your PooPee.’

Before this, she was a stuntwoman featuring in box office hits such as The Wedding Planner and Spider-Man 2 and also had acting roles in CSI: Miami and From Dusk Till Dawn before working in PR in the adult film industry.

Soon after meeting her future husband, she started exclusively doing PR for his band.

Around the same time Van Halen turned his back on his wild rock star days, giving up drugs and alcohol for good.

Just one year later, the rock star proposed in Hawaii and the couple tied the knot in June 2009 in a private ceremony with 100 guests in the garden of Van Halen’s seven-acre estate in the hills above Studio City, California.

It was a family affair with Liszewski’s sister her maid of honor while her mom – and her 15-year-old Pomeranian Kano – walked her down the aisle to Van Halen’s song ‘When It’s Love’ performed by the Sonus Quartet.

Van Halen’s song Wolfgang was the groom’s best man and his brother Alex, an ordained minister, officiated the ceremony.

Guests – including Van Halen’s first wife Bertinelli – feasted on mini hamburgers, corn dogs, ring pops, candy necklaces, and custom printed M&M’s, with drinks from a non-alcoholic lemonade bar, People magazine reported at the time.

They toasted to French sparkling apple cider and sparkling pear juice as a tribute to Van Halen’s newfound sobriety.

‘They are devoted to each other and to experiencing life in a whole new, positive and passionate way,’ a source told People at the time.

The newlyweds then honeymooned in New York, Germany, and Van Halen’s birth country The Netherlands.

The couple have remained largely private about their 11-year marriage, however, in September, Liszewski addressed rumors accusing her of having an affair.

‘Breaking News. @eddievanhalen is my husband & our relationship and life together is PRIVATE,’ she wrote on Instagram alongside a photo of her with her husband.

‘@dncnlouie is my friend & business partner for various endeavors including ballroom dance & pro wrestling as the brand @janieandlouie & is public. #dontgetittwisted #justsoyouknow.’

The widow, who is now also a pro-wrestling manager and ballroom dancer, regularly posts images of her and her husband together on social media.

Van Halen’s son announced his father’s death in a social media post Tuesday.

‘I can’t believe I’m having to write this, but my father, Edward Lodewijk Van Halen, has lost his long and arduous battle with cancer this morning,’ Wolfgang wrote.

‘He was the best father I could ever ask for. Every moment I’ve shared with him on and off stage was a gift.

‘My heart is broken and I don’t think I’ll ever fully recover from this loss. I love you so much, Pop.’

Van Halen founded the band with his brother Alex in the 1970s and went on to achieve worldwide fame.

The band was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2007.
