Nine reshoots an ENTIRE episode of Millionaire Hot Seat after it failed to record during filming

Channel Nine has been forced to reshoot an entire episode of Millionaire Hot Seat after it failed to record.

The quiz show’s host Eddie McGuire told The Australian on Monday, the show filmed 30 episodes over five days after relocating to the Gold Coast.

But on the first day of filming, one of the episodes reportedly didn’t record and it had to be entirely re-shot.

The same contestants were invited back and had another chance to win big money on the show but they won the default $1000 prize both times.

‘We were running out[of episodes] and we filmed them in the nick of time,’Eddie told the publication.

‘It could have been a whole lot worse,’ he said.

This comes after Millionaire Hot Seat relocated to Queensland for seven weeks to film new episodes.

As reported by TV Tonight, production moved after the show was denied access to Docklands Studios in Melbourne following a coronavirus outbreak on set of The Masked Singer, which is also filmed there.

The quiz show’s host, Eddie arrived last month from Melbourne to undergo his two-week quarantine period.

In August, Millionaire Hot Seat was ordered to stop filming following a coronavirus outbreak on set of The Masked Singer, which is filmed at an adjacent lot.

While the two shows aren’t recorded in the same studio, they do share facilities.

The Masked Singer was rocked by an outbreak on August 22, after seven dancers tested positive for coronavirus and the show’s stars were ordered to self-isolate.

The COVID-19 bombshell came on the night of the show’s grand final being filmed.
