Nick Cordero’s widow Amanda Kloots beams as she and her son Elvis, one, enjoy a day at the beach

She lost her husband Nick Cordero to complications of COVID-19 in July.

But Amanda Kloots has been soldiering on and managed to have a lovely day at the beach with her one-year-old son Elvis.

The 38-year-old widow looked as if she was having a great time as she helped her son venture into the surf for the first time.

Beach trip: Amanda Kloots, 38, looked like she was having a blast as she went to the beach with her son Elvis in posts shared to Instagram on Sunday

Amanda showed off her svelte figure in a pair of white bottoms with red trim and a matching white crop top.

She had her short blonde locks tied in a ponytail, and she covered them with a royal blue trucker hat with her son’s name on the front.

Elvis looked cute in a white T-shirt with navy blue sleeves and baby swim trunks with crab designs, and he blocked the sun with a navy bucket hat.

‘Family day to the beach. Elvis LOVED the ocean today!’ Amanda began her caption.

‘I kept telling him it’s just what his Dada would do ❤️ He was so brave, I couldn’t believe it!’

The fitness instructor was spending time with friends at the beach for a party.

Despite the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, Amanda didn’t wear a mask, though she and Elvis were well away from other beachgoers, and masks aren’t recommended for children under two.

Amanda also shared some cute photos to her Instagram Stories in which she held Elvis and gave him a kiss.

Though she was getting back to living her life without her late husband, Amanda revealed late last month that she was penning a book about Nick’s months-long fight against COVID-19.

‘Yes, I’m writing a memoir about this time, and I’m writing it with Anna Kloots, my sister. It’s about everything I went through, and about positivity and faith and resilience,’ she explained to the New York Times.

‘I started writing when I was in Ohio, with my mom and dad, right after Nick passed. I’ve actually found it to be incredibly therapeutic.’

Nick was in Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles for 95 days as he battled one medical crisis after another, all stemming from contracting the novel coronavirus.

The Broadway star suffered from a blood clot that necessitated amputating one of his legs, and he later suffered a series of mini-strokes.

Although he regained some consciousness late in his struggle, the damage from the virus was too great for his body to overcome, even though he had tested negative for the coronavirus for weeks before his death.

On September 17, Amanda celebrated what would have been the Bullets Over Broadway actor’s 42nd birthday with the release of his album Live Your Life, which was taken from a one-man show he put on featuring guests spots.

The LP was titled after his song of the same name, which Amanda sang every afternoon while he was in the hospital.
