Heather Locklear is wishing her only child and ‘favorite person ever’ a happy birthday.
Ava Sambora, the daughter of Heather and her ex-husband Richie Sambora, turned 23 on Sunday, celebrating with friends and family at a backyard pool party.
Taking to Instagram to praise her stunning lookalike daughter, Heather, 59, wrote ‘Happy birthday to my favorite person ever! You are so loved. Thank you for choosing me as your mama.’

Ava commented back to the post ‘My mommy I love you so much,’ as people continued to wish her a happy birthday.
The blonde beauty re-posted a series of birthday tributes, as she and a group of friends were seen intimately having some wine by the pool on Saturday as she blew out her candles.
She also posed in front of an extravagant layout of balloons in the shape of a two and a three, wearing a slinky white dress.

Ava recently graduated from Loyola Marymount University in May, before returning home to live with her mom full time in July.
Thankfully the school is in close proximity to their Los Angeles home, as traveling during the pandemic has been a point of contention for many.
Beaming with excitement to have her only baby home with her, Heather posted many photos congratulating her daughter on her college achievements and sharing how happy she was to be reunited.
The beautiful blonde, who Locklear revealed graduated with a 4.0, looks every bit like her Melrose Place actress mother back in the day, as she posed for a series of photos in the backyard.

Since being home, Ava has been quarantining with her mom, but has kept a small circle of people like her boyfriend and friends around her from time to time.
Recently Heather celebrated a year of sobriety in April, with Ava and ex-husband Richie being an integral part of the process.
A source close to Locklear told People back in April, that she had found a good stride when it came to her routine.

‘She is gardening, taking walks and cooking like a fiend. She cooks for herself, Ava and her parents. It’s very sweet. Her dad is close to 91, and her mom is in her 80s, and she delivers food to them often’ the source said.
To celebrate her mother’s milestone, Ava celebrated her mom with cupcakes from sprinkles that said ‘I love u mama’.
Despite the distance Ava’s university provided, the two seem happy to be back in each other’s company as the friend said, ‘Heather is always happiest when she is with her daughter.
