Tough times: Candice Warner (pictured) has revealed she ‘hit rock bottom’ while dealing with the fallout of her cricketer husband David’s ball-tampering scandal, and her tragic miscarriage. The 35-year-old told the Powerful Steps podcast on Monday that she ‘just broke’

‘At first it’s devastating, [then] it isn’t so bad – you get to assess your whole life because things can’t get any worse.

‘I just couldn’t hold it back anymore – you try to be that brave person for everyone especially when you know people need your strength. But at that one moment I just broke – and I couldn’t contain myself’.

However the WAG says there was actually a positive outcome to those dark times.

Meanwhile, Candice told The Australian Women’s Weekly that she had miscarried just a week after David apologised for his role in the conspiracy.

‘I was bleeding. We knew I was miscarrying. We held one another and cried,’ Candice told the magazine.

‘The miscarriage was a tragic consequence, a heartbreaking end to a horror tour,’ she added.
