Sunrise host Sam Armytage and fiancé Richard Lavender made their red carpet event debut as a newly-engaged couple over the weekend.
The loved-up pair attended the Everest Carnival Fashion Lunch at the Royal Randwick Racecourse.
Sam, 44, has since praised her husband-to-be for how he manged his first ‘media wall’ alongside seasoned regulars – including herself.

‘His first ‘media wall’… handled it like a pro,’ Sam wrote on Instagram Stories.
Sam announced her engagement to millionaire equestrian businessman Richard Lavender back in June.
The 44-year-old looked the epitome of elegance on Saturday when she posed for photos on the red carpet with Richard.
She wore a stunning Carla Zampatti white frock which clenched in at the waist.
Her doting other half scrubbed up well for the snaps, wearing a smart navy suit with a lilac shirt and tie underneath.

Last month, the loved-up pair revealed their wedding plans had to be put ‘on hold’ due to the ongoing pandemic.
Speaking to The Daily Telegraph, she admitted the wedding may now be pushed back to 2021.
She told the paper that she hoped to have a large wedding, and the pandemic has made that impossible – hence the delay.
Sam said: ‘Because we want to have a party with more than 20 people, we have sort of put it on hold.’
She stressed that they will ‘get there’ but aren’t in any hurry.
The TV host added: ‘We will get married but put the planning on hold because there is no point until we can actually make a proper plan in booking anything so no plans yet but we will get there.’

Earlier this year, her Sunrise co-star Edwina Bartholomew accidentally let slip a detail about the TV presenter’s upcoming nuptials in a birthday tribute for her pal.
Posting to Instagram, the 37-year-old revealed that Sam plans to say ‘I do’ in a ‘paddock’.
‘Happy birthday @sam_armytage Next time we are drunk in a paddock will be on your big day,’ she captioned the post.
