‘We had to trust the timing’: Red Wiggle Simon Pryce’s wife Lauren Hannaford speaks about the struggles she faced on her journey to falling pregnant
She recently announced she’s expecting her first child with husband Simon Pryce.
But on Saturday, Lauren Hannaford spoke candidly about the difficulties she’d faced while trying for a baby.
In an interview with Stellar magazine, the 34-year-old fitness trainer said she’d been trying for a baby for two years and cysts on her ovaries could have been preventing her from falling pregnant.

‘We just had to trust that in the end the timing for us was going to be right,’ she said.
Lauren had been booked in for surgery earlier this year, but two days before she was due to go into hospital, all elective surgeries were cancelled and she was forced to reschedule.
She said: ‘Then just before I was due to go in for the rescheduled surgery we found out I was pregnant. It worked out naturally and wonderfully.’
Simon, 48, added: ‘I’m loving seeing Lauren pregnant and am overflowing with love knowing there is a little baby growing inside of her.’

The happy couple announced they’re expecting their first child on Father’s Day, last month.
‘Lauren and I are beyond excited and overjoyed to be expecting our first baby in early 2021,’ Simon wrote on Instagram.
‘I already feel like I’m bursting with love. I think Lauren will be happy when it’s born so I stop talking to her stomach, especially when we are in the supermarket aisle.’

He concluded by adding: ‘Happy Father’s Day to me. Well not quite yet but soon. #BabyPryce #2021’.
Lauren and Simon, who have been together for nine years, tied the knot in a lavish ceremony in January 2017.
The couple met in 2011 after Lauren, a former gymnast, was asked to tour with The Wiggles as Dorothy the Dinosaur.

After four years of performing together, Lauren decided to leave her role as Dorothy and launch her fitness empire, FHIT, in 2018.
Meanwhile, Simon joined The Wiggles family in 2002 as a voice artist but eventually became a fully fledged member in 2013.
He is joined by Purple Wiggle Lachlan Gillespie, Yellow Wiggle Emma Watkins and Blue Wiggle Anthony Field.
