Princess Eugenie will go back to work after the birth of her first child next year

TALK OF THE TOWN: Royal mother-to-be Princess Eugenie will go back to work at Mayfair gallery after the birth of her first child next year

Despite rumours to the contrary, I’m delighted to confirm that thoroughly modern Princess Eugenie will return to her job after the birth of her first child.

The Princess began working at Mayfair gallery Hauser & Wirth in 2015 and was promoted to director two years later.

Eugenie and husband Jack announced just days ago that they were expecting, and baby is due to arrive early next year.

Fellow Royals – take note!

Ruby roasts British food

When comedian Ruby Wax moved from her native Illinois in the US to the UK almost 50 years ago, she was baffled by some of our most famous delicacies.

‘When I got here it was a huge disappointment as everything was black and white and it was freezing and they were only eating toad in the hole,’ says Ruby, 67.

‘I didn’t know what these food stuffs were but they looked like my grandmother in a crust.’

Celebs spouting nonsense: Billie Piper

She’s been able to bask in the success of her new show, I Hate Suzie, but Billie Piper has been warning that her job comes hand in hand with feelings of ‘extreme disturbia’.

Discussing her work, the 38-year-old actress says: ‘I don’t know that I have ever felt calm or relaxed.

‘I would say my experiences are largely that of extreme disturbia.

‘I don’t know that I could list one person I’ve met in our industries that seems to have the balance, be chill, have this healthy relationship with themselves.’

So famous people are a bit odd, Billie? You don’t say…
