Her former best friend Jules Robinson is currently giving birth to her first child in a Sydney hospital.
And on Friday, Melissa Lucarelli’s famous frenemy couldn’t have been further from her mind as she stepped out in Sydney for a star-studded event.
The 39-year-old partied with a purpose to celebrate the launch of Suzan Mutesi’s powerful new book, Unapologetically Black: Afro Sisters.

The former talent agent looked sensational in a stylish blue blazer dressed that showed off her long legs.
Mel was glowing thanks to a golden brown tan and her makeup looked flawless.
She pinned her long brown hair back into a tight ponytail and accessorised with a pair of cream heels.
The former reality star rubbed shoulders with a number of other celebrities at the event, including gossip guru Richard Reid and reality TV queen Angie Kent.

Mel famously fell out with her former co-star and best friend Jules last year, after Jules dumped her as a bridesmaid ahead of her wedding to now-husband Cam Merchant.
The wedding was later broadcast on Channel Nine as part of a special episode of A Current Affair.
Jules later received backlash online from Married At First Sight viewers, with many saying that they were disappointed to see her dump a good friend.
In a heartbreaking Instagram video at the time, a tearful Melissa described Jules’ decision to abruptly drop her as a bridesmaid as ‘cold’ and ‘hurtful’.

‘I’ve had so many messages and people keep asking me what the story is. So yes, it is true, Jules dumped me as a bridesmaid,’ she began.
‘As for why, I’m honestly not sure… she kept changing her reasons and none of them made sense.
‘It really all just came out of the blue and I didn’t see it coming at all. Of course you’re allowed to change your mind about who you want as a bridesmaid, but I just feel like the way it was done was really cold and rather hurtful.’

Mel was especially upset that Jules had dumped her so close to the wedding day.
‘I guess it just makes the public dumping of you as a bridesmaid for no reason that little bit more embarrassing, hurtful, confusing,’ she said.
‘I wish I was never asked to be a bridesmaid in the first place so I wasn’t in this position.’
Cam was spotted bringing baby items to a Sydney hospital on Friday, leading fans to believe that pregnant Jules may have welcomed her first child.
