He’s a Gold Logie winner, a father-of-four and a successful television reporter, but if there’s one thing Karl Stefanovic isn’t, it’s tanned!
And after complaining earlier in the week that he wasn’t getting enough ‘Vitamin D’, the 46-year-old came up with the great idea to get a spray tan on the Today Show.
On Friday, the television host kept his word, giving his colleagues (and viewers) an eyeful when he stripped down to get bronzed by his co-host Allison Langdon.

Standing in a black booth alongside news presenter Alex Cullen, Karl wasn’t shy about revealing his almost bare physique on national television.
He was sporting nothing but a pair of rather revealing boxer shorts and he had stuck a stencil of NRL team, the Brisbane Broncos, logo to his chest.
Armed with a spray tan gun, co-host Allison Langdon appeared very eager to start the process quipping: ‘I’ll just wing it!’

She then went to give Karl a very dark and uneven tan, saying: ‘I think maybe this was a really bad idea’.
Checking himself out in the studio monitors, Karl jokingly called Allison out by retorting: ‘You messed this up, this is appalling!’
Meanwhile Alex, who was also getting a spray tan, was lucky enough to have a professional do the job.

It comes after Karl raised eyebrows on Thursday when his language was bleeped out twice during a hot topics segment.
He appeared to swear while discussing a viral news story about several foul-mouthed parrots at a British wildlife park.
Explaining the story to his guests, including politician Jacqui Lambie, Karl stated: ‘The park’s boss said, “Every time I walk past, I get called a fat *beep*.”‘

Karl added with a laugh that when he was a child, his uncle also had a swearing bird.
‘When I was a kid, my uncle Rob had a cockatoo and every time I would walk past, it would call me a fat *beep*. What do you think, Jacqui?’
Karl didn’t actually swear during the segment, which can be discerned by reading his lips, but his language was bleeped out anyway.
This was most likely an inside joke arranged by Today’s producers.
