The Masked Singer finale has been filmed with Jackie O and Osher Günsberg filming from Sydney

Jackie ‘O’ Henderson and Osher Günsberg skip quarantine in Sydney to film The Masked Singer finale after travelling from coronavirus capital Melbourne

More than two weeks after production was shut down in Melbourne following a COVID-19 outbreak on set, The Masked Singer Australia‘s final episode has finally been filmed.

On Tuesday night, production went ahead on the grand finale, with Osher Günsberg and judge Jackie ‘O’ Henderson recording their parts in Sydney following two weeks of quarantine in Melbourne.

‘I am back in Sydney, and last night I filmed the final episode of The Masked Singer,’ Jackie O revealed on her radio program The Kyle and Jackie O Show on Wednesday morning.

The show must go on! The Masked Singer finale has finally been filmed, with Jackie O and Osher Günsberg recording in Sydney after being granted hotel quarantine exemptions in NSW

With several key cast members in different states, the crew had to get very creative when it came to producing the grand finale.

Both Osher and Jackie O filmed from a Sydney Studio, while fellow judges Dannii Minogue and Dave Hughes returned to the Melbourne set.

According to The Age, Jackie O and Osher were granted hotel quarantine exemptions from NSW authorities on their return to the state, as they had already undergone isolation in Melbourne.

However, fourth judge Urzila Carlson wasn’t as lucky, and is undergoing another 14-day of quarantine after returned to New Zealand. She will appear in the finale via her laptop.

Production on the show halted last month just hours before the show’s finale was set to be taped. The rest of the season had already been recorded.

Seven dancers tested positive for COVID-19 on August 22, and the show’s stars were ordered to self-isolate immediately.

‘Production on The Masked Singer has been immediately suspended as a result of several crew members receiving a positive test result for COVID-19,’ Channel 10 said in a statement at the time.

‘The health and safety of the community, and our staff and production partners is our number one priority.’
